Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team.
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to, running office clinics, eprescribing prescriptions, completing prior authorizations for meds, answering patient calls, scheduling patients for procedures, and sending out procedure instructions.
The ideal candidate will have had prior experience working in an electronic medical record, working in a similar position in a physician office, proficiency in typing, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Three years experience working in a physician office or clinic is required. Previous experience with electronic medical record entry is required.
Candidates that do not meet the above requirements will not be considered.
Medical, dental, vision, 401K, and supplemental policies are provided. Travel and mileage compensated if travel to a satellite office is required. Major holidays are paid days off. We are a non-smoking facility. The position is Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5pm, however the position might require hours earlier or later depending on clinic time and location.
