Colorectal Cancer with Dr. David Miller

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. According to the CDC, among cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon or rectum) is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. Every year, about 140,000 Americans are diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and more than 50,000 people die from it.

Dr. David Miller, a gastroenterologist at Brookwood Medical Center, talks about colorectal cancer and the importance of screenings after age 50. Dr. Miller also discusses colon cancer prevention, screening preparation and the importance of high fiber diets. Fox 6 Ask the Doc, March 25, 2013.
